Robert Greenberg is music historian-in-residence with San Francisco Performances and has performed, taught and lectured extensively across North America and Europe. Dr. Greenberg has recorded a forty-eight lecture course entitled “How to Listen to and Understand Great Music” and twenty-five other courses for the Teaching Company/Great Courses Program. He is the author of How to Listen to Great Music. Dr. Greenberg received a BA in music from Princeton University and a PhD. in music composition from the University of California, Berkeley.
