support the imaginative conservativeDoes The Imaginative Conservative matter to you? In your abundance of reading options, do we make the cut? Have we inspired you? Have we vexed you? Have we piqued your interest in something? Have you laughed with us?

If the answer to any of those questions for you is yes, then we’re thrilled. The Imaginative Conservative doesn’t exist to proselytize, provide an echo chamber, or back you up in Facebook comment wars. We want to help conversation and community happen through the joyful consumption of great ideas. The path may be littered with paradoxes, permanent problems, and maybe a curmudgeon or two—given human nature, that’s probably a sign we’re on the right path— but we’re glad to be on it with you.

We know that you read many appeals for your financial support, but we hope that The Imaginative Conservative means enough to you that we are at the top of your giving list. Like most people, we’re always happy to accept large (or small) contributions.

  1. I probably would not vote for a candidate who would be so conservative (but likely well educated, civil, and moral) as would come out of the ranks of The Free Enterprise Institute, but their journal is an excellent education in the humanities. Indeed the content is almost exclusively Western Civilization in coverage (with Christian bias) but that is well worth knowing. The American Republic is based on those values as well as those of the Enlightenment. Certainly knowing the core values of the Republic is important now when our political class is so uneducated, uncivil, and immoral.

I support knowing Eastern (and as for me to a lesser extent, African) cultures and being informed of other faith systems. I support an open minded culture and education and I support the Imaginative Conservative for its often superior coverage of the arts and culture.
